Hi, I’m Andy, the creator of Andy’s Volcanic Ash (AVA).

AVA is men’s hairstyling texture clay made with natural, mineral rich volcanic ash that delivers an instant volume and a weightless hold for fine and thin hair.

Since 1987 I have worked at several highly esteemed salons as a California licensed beautician and, more specifically, in Orange County as a men's Hair Specialist.



Working with several men hair types and their diverse styling needs, has afforded me the opportunity to use and test some of the best products on the market. I found a lack of safe, effective, and affordable natural options for hair styling.

A lot of these products on the market are full of waxes and fillers that weigh down fine hair that can become hard to rinse or manage, even pulling out weaker hairs!



I decided to develop a natural men’s haircare product that infuses earths minerals from volcanic ash to help mold and add voluminous styles while rinsing out easily.
